Apex Keep asking to turn on steam overlay. the problem is i already turn it on. already try turning off and on,restart,update still nothing
i just right clicked on apex legends in steam. click properties and enabled steam overlay from there. the box wasnt checked. and that fixed it for me

Are you still getting this same message when you're trying to play? If so, have you tried validating the game files in Steam to see if that makes any difference at all?

Can you give us a bit more info on what's happening? Is it not giving you the option to enable the overlay, or is it just still giving you that same error even though you enabled the option?

Hey, I got the same problem, even though I have steam overlay on, it still persists to give me the same error code when I try to register

Here is the error code. Ive tried checking the box, it was already checked, tried validating still did not work.
Community Admin@Tristen1195 Hi, if you try a Clean Boot and only start the game and Steam, with the overlay toggled on, does that make any difference?
I suspect there's some conflict with some other overlay software, and testing with the Clean Boot can check for this.

I installed Apex. Steam overlay is on, I checked the file intergrity, but it does not let me login with my ea account or anything. the error that I should have my steam overlay active remains whatever I do. Please help.
