Apex Legends VC++ Error

Really sorry but I can't seem to DM you, I got an error message saying that I didn't have permission to. 

I can't download Apex Legends as well and I have attached my installlog. Would really appreciate your help!

Hi guys, I think I found a solution, go to the files app, this pc, my hard drive, Program Files(x86), Origin Games, Apex, _Installer, vc, and then click on each file (there should be 3) and go to redist, vcredist_64 (sometimes there is a vcredist_86, click on that as well).

Each time you click on the vcredist_64 it should pop up with a window that allows you to repair (if it doesn’t, right click and then click on “delete” then reinstall the game), repair each vc runtime (if it tells you to restart your computer do it and then move on to the next file, if you repair the same file it will ask you to restart again which is useless so don’t do that).

There should be at least one error (for me it was vc2015). If it says something about another version has already been installed (in my case) go to the Control Panel, Programs, Programs and Features and then scroll until you see the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable files and then uninstall everything newer than the 2015 versions.

After this just reinstall the game and you’re good to go!

@chibaboom I think you should be able to DM now. In any case can you try going to your games folder, then \Apex\__Installer\vc\vc2012Update4\redist and running the vcredist_x64 that you'll find there, and let us know what happens.

If anyone still has issues they can try a distro clean-up:

Windows Redistributable cleanup:

First open the programs you very often use all at once.
The press the Win key and type un-install then press enter.
In the list of programs are a list Redistributable or distro's, un-install each one if they ask you to close a program you know the distro is needed and you can cancel the un-install.
Once done you can close the programs and go to your games.
If a game fails to load run a repair game or check game file integrity to reinstall distro's the games need.

I did what you said in the VC folder and repaired the 2010sp1 and 2012Update4, but when I try to run the vc2015\redist\vc_redist.x64 or .x86 they ask if I want to install, and when I click it, I get "Setup Failed - 0x80070666 - Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of this product, use Add/Remove Programs on the Control Panel." 

I followed your instructions because I got the VCC error when I try to install the game (the game IS installed and playable), but I also have an issue with the game suddenly freezing during play and locking up - having to be hard shut down to through task manager to close it out. Not sure if the two issues are related, and I don't want to mess with the VC if one is not causing the other (especially since I can play most of the time. Freezing happens ever 5-10 games). 

Any thoughts? 

Thanks to @Get_Rekt_462 's workaround, I managed to finally install the game after several weeks of annoyance.
Here's the fun part!... I can't actually run the game because of my AMD CPU and lots of other people are seeing an error about SSSE3 Instructions too. Yay. 
I already let EA_David know about this and the team knows about the issue but it doesn't seem to be a big concern.

By the way if anyone runs into issues with the 2010sp1 install due to "generic trust failure", a fix I found on the microsoft site worked. Basically, right click the zip and extract it to the same location as the zip > open the folder > locate "vc_red" executable and double click it to install. Should work! Check your Control Panel/Programs and search for 2010 to see if it installed.
