Borderless Windowed does not fill the entire screen.

I was wondering if there was a fixe for this or if anyone else was or has experienced this.

There is a problem where if I play Apex in borderless windowed mode at a resolution lower than my monitor's native resolution (I need to do this to run the game ~60 fps rip), the window would not fill the entire screen. I've attached a photo of the problem. The gray area around the screen is my background. You can see the taskbar at the bottom.

Things that I've tried:

  • Dropping monitor resolution in Nvidia (This, however, makes it so I have to change the resolution every time I want to play Apex or a game after apex)
  • Contacting Support (Just looped back to enabling fullscreen)
  • Updating Drivers
  • Reinstalling Apex

I'd like to multitask and be able to click windows outside of Apex. If anyone has a fix or a status update on the problem, please it would be helpful.

  • Well:
    1. Set your game to borderless windows in the video settings
    2. Find your videoconfig.txt and instead of 1920x1080 set to 1920x1079
    3. Set windows taskbar to automatically hide
    4. Right click apex.exe and disable windows fullscreen optimization
    5. Find adaptive fps target and set to 60 or 90 (to get ur desired fps)

This will enable you to be in almost fullscreen mode and still access the taskbar easily.. Remember that going to taskbar you have to press escape and leave the game window this can go on only for a brief amount of time before the game kicks you out due to inactivity
