Can't request to join a club - Apex

I can't request to join a club. I meet all the requirements and as soon as I send the request and go back to the lobby, I get a message that says 'The request has timed out or has been declined.' I...

My friend and I have also been having this same problem. Please fix, as it seems many folks are experiencing this glitch.
