Do Not Unlink Your EA Account

When Cross Progression was introduced to Apex Legends, the intention was that all accounts you have tied to a Single EA account (EA App, Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo) would now share progression and items. 

To confirm If you have an older platform you played on (say PlayStation) and it was linked to an older EA account, then sometime later you made a new EA account on Xbox (for example). 

These would be 2 Separate EA accounts, if you attempt to unlink the PlayStation account (from the above example), to link it to the EA account that has your Xbox tied to it, you will be removing any progress you made on your PlayStation account.

So when your newer EA account (that would now have Xbox and Playstation tied to it) gets Cross Progression you won't have any progress you made from PlayStation (due to having unlinked it from the older EA account).

So if you have 2 EA accounts, that have different platforms tied (say PlayStation and Xbox) you will want to get in touch with our support for further assistance.

This is much clearer explanation than anything I’ve learned before so thank you for that. My problem is that I’ve unlinked my irrelevant Xbox account to link it to my PlayStation account where everything of value is so that I get all the progression from there to my now Xbox account that I wish to be my main console. I do not care about losing anything on the Xbox account because it was just a secondary platform waiting to be my main. I’ve done all of this AFTER I got the cross progress message because the message didn’t have a second screen, it just disappeared after clicking continue. So the big question is will the accounts tie overtime?
