I'm having the same issue. I just got error 4 times in one br. So I
-updated all drivers
- checked for windows update
(Restarted my pc after installing or repairing)
-validate steam files
-used command prompt to scan files (no issues found)
Additionally in the past I have
-uninstalled and reinstalled the game.
-updated steam
- Clean installed drivers
The only programs I run are discord and Nvidia broadcast.

Mobo:MSI X570-A Pro
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x (not OC)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super Dual 8gb VRAM (Not OC)
Memory: corsair vengeance lpx 16gb (2x8gb) 3600 mhz (xmp on)

-How often does the bug occur? in the past 2 weeks that I have been playing Apex it has been 2-4 time every 4 hours of play time. In the last hour it has been 7 times
-How severe is your issue? cannot play the game. Not "it's so bad I don't want to play" it is unplayable
-What happens when the bug occurs? Game closed and show a message "Engine Error 0x887A0006 - DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG The applications device failed due to badly formed commands sent by the application. This is an design-time issue that should be investigated and fixed"
What should be happening instead? the game should not crash?
