Issue after linking Xbox account to EA

Bit of background, years ago when EA first established the need to sign into an EA account to play Apex. Without much second thought, I connected it to an account that I haven't touched since then because at the time I didn't really understand what the point was. Today, I got on apex for the first time in a while and wanted to participate in the new creator event which required me to do the Login Verification. I realized this time that my account was connected to that old, unused account instead of the EA account I made for playing other games on my PC. So, I went through the process of unlinking my Xbox account, interpreting the warning as the progress on that EA account would be lost, and reconnecting it to my current EA account. This is where my issue is, I played a bit of apex on my PC just to see if it would run, realized that I did not like it, and never touched it again. To my surprise, when I opened Apex on my Xbox 5 years of progress was just gone, replaced the account from my PC. I have seen in other forums a way to fix this, but I cannot unlink my account for another 6 months which is insanely inconvenient and all around absurd that there is no solution to this.

Does anyone have a way to reach out to any sort of higher up regarding an issue with my PC account overriding my Xbox account? Yes, I have talked to a few chat support workers and yes, I am aware that I misinterpreted the disclosure. I am just seeking a solution that does not require me waiting 6 months to play this game because I feel as though it is not unreasonable for the Support team to be able to disconnect an account.

Or if anyone has any other solution/ has had this issue before, please give me some ideas. Thank you!
