I was looking forward to trying out this game after the problems Battlefield V has had from release until now. I've logged many hours happily playing BFV on Linux, and heard Apex performed very well under WINE. I'm incredibly disappointed to hear WINE compatibility has been intentionally broken. I'm under no illusion as to the current and near-future market share of gaming that Linux users represent (on their Linux devices, at least) - we are largely hobbyists, and do not expect support, but to break the game for us with no communication behind your rationale reflects very poorly on EA as a company at a time when your reputation among consumers has already suffered.
Yeah, after a neverending crashing BFV on a native Windows i finally had the hope i could play this game on linux. And then i get greeted with an EAC - Message.
