Massive fps drop season 7
Hello, here is my problem: My apex always runs in full 60 FPS on all maps, but when I go to Olympus, there are areas that are filled with grass which make me go to 40 FPS and it's very annoying ... ...

You're right, the game is unplayable for many users at the moment and something feels that it will be even worse in season 8, because the respawn, let's face it, cannot handle the game well, what is important only adds unnecessary things ...
Doing 1 last hail mary attempt.Doing a clean install of w10.If nothing changes it's the game or the gpu driver (or both) I officially give up if this doesn't work.
@L4JKANYea clean installing windows 10 didn't help.That 3 quick micro stutter in 1 issue still happens...
So far I've tried
- Tried updating Mobo bios
- Various drivers (DDUcleaned) (currently on 457.51)
- Hardware acceleration disabled in chrome/discord-
- All overlays disabled-Gamebar disabled
- Fullscreen optimisation disabled
- Disabling reflex w/ command "+gfx_nvnUseLowLatency 0" Some people are saying disabling reflex doesn't actually work but when I use the command the game doesn't cap the fps to 138 anymore so it works?
- Vsync off
- Clean install w10

- @wiseolddude well after almost i killed my mobo for the 3th time 😂😂😂 I can say my game runs muuuuch better after I dezinstaled that * from aorus center , i still have fps drops, but no more lag , only on world edge , but on olimpus I have nice fps , on the grass area 100 fps plus , and I'm on hdd , maybe after the new m2 ssd i will have better fps .... Who knows 🤔

Is still the same , but the game runs better , that aplication from aorus caused sttuters ......
@LILmayo221That's not a loading transition right?So you're still getting that specific random 3 quick frametime spikes (1 stutter) randomly even with the Aorus application disabled but the gameplay is smoother then before?
- @wiseolddude No , not randomly , there are specific areas where my fps drops , and I can reproduce them anytime on all maps , like in ur case , the grass area on olimpus ....

@LILmayo221For me it seems random in every map because I've passed in the same areas and nothing happened.(It happened even inside a building once in olympus )
But if you still get 3 quick frametime spikes all at once issue then it has to be related.- the fault lies with the optimization of the game, it is not possible for me to run smoothly in season 6 and then suddenly season 7 appeared, I note I had 144fps blocked in rivatuner, as of today the stuttering is so huge that the game is not playable in my case I'm already talking about turning off rivatuner, after turning off it shows 143fps but the game stutters amazingly, I have tried everything literally, fresh windows installation, installation of old, new graphics drivers, changing graphics settings in the game and config, turning off unnecessary programs in the background, just nothing works and does not help, I have a Gtx 1070ti ryzen 5 3600 16gb ram, I know the equipment is not very good, but as I say in season 6 I could play at 144fps on low settings and the game ran smoothly.
- @L4JKAN If we consider the dude in previous comments have rtx 3080 and he experience fps drops , what would be expect from our systems xd ?🙂)

Still nothing, King's Canyon is ok in terms of optimization but visual effects/zooming in still causes MASSIVE FPS drops. Also tried disabling nvidia reflex, didn't seem to make a difference. I am beginning to think this will never be fixed...
- @MrTux Well is a little better , but still not perfect , idk about the other maps now
@LILmayo221@L4JKANany improvement?Just updated today and I still get it.(The same exact 3 fast frametime spikes randomly)VERY randomly.Played 15 games got it 5 times total.
Also,they added a way to disable reflex ingame but that made no difference.
I tought since now we can properly disable reflex I could go back to using the nvidia driver fps limiter (like when I used to be on 442.59) But NOPE.The frametimes are still erratic with reflex disabled if I use Nvidia fps limiter.(Riva tuner works)
So wtf?so it wasn't reflex causing erratic frametimes?Has to be the driver then.There's something else in the drivers after 442.59 thats causing issues.
Anyway.I'm close to uninstalling this game.GM's here obviously can't be bothered and neither can the manuel guy in the nvidia forums.- @wiseolddude the problem is still with stuttering, the game is unplayable I can't fix it, the only option is probably to buy a new computer from nasa: D

Guys your PC specs are irrelevant if you have anything decent, you see people with a 3070 still having issues, it's not about power, it's about terrible optimization.

Out of curiosity do you get this error in event viewer under admin events while playing apex? "Session "dfa2c640-651d-488d-a479-2fd7a7ca6e29" failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000022"
It's the only thing of note I noticed while playing Apex but it didn't happen every time the spike happened so I assume they are unrelated.
Had 4 games today with the first 2 games had no issues then 30 seconds after the first stutter happened I noticed that error pop up.Wierdly when the spike happened again 2 times later the error didn't pop up. (Always the same pattern frametimespike need I remind you.)
