@EA_Atic, actually, someone else had posted in another thread how to fix the issue. It's related to NAT Filtering on Netgear Nighthawk routers. We have to switch it from secured to open. We were able to both play together on the same network after that without any issues.

Seems like this was a known issue from Titanfall multiplayer. I'll repost the steps taken to resolve the issue, in case it may help anyone else here.

I solved this issue by going into the nighthawk settings

Advanced > Setup > WAN Setup
    Change `Nat Filtering` from `secured` to `open`.

Additionally you can reserve the IP's for the devices on the network that will be playing multiplayer to keep them from changing. This is especially useful if you're on a wireless connection.

Advanced > Setup > LAN Setup
Click the `add` button under the `Address Reservation` section and select the device you want to reserve the local IP for.

  • Having this issue as well. Me and friend cannot get into a game together. Either one gets an error saying "Bad Challenge" or error connecting to server. Sometimes one of us can make it through and get into character selection with the third random person that queued into our group, but the other person gets one of the errors and goes back to lobby.

Hey @Skryn @corin420, have you tried our network troubleshooting guide to see if there anything that helps, also what platform are you on?

  • I'm also having this issue, sometimes with multiple people in our party being unable to join. Usually just the leader encounters the error though. We are playing on PS4.
