(PC) Can't hear footsteps.

Yes. Same here. No matter how many restarts I do, I still can't hear their footsteps and gun shots. I can only hear my own footsteps and gun shots.

Also experiencing no footsteps,gunshots, or pings. really makes games hard with headsets.

I literally don't hear anything unless it's happening right in front of me. An enemy team could be behind me shooting at my teammates and I wouldn't hear any shots, whether it's my teammates' or the enemy's. Once I turn around, I hear sounds at 100% volume but if I turn around again, the sounds go to 0%.

Hearing enemy footsteps is not a thing.. I have had so many instances where enemy players would be right next to me running and sliding and there wouldn't be any sounds of footsteps. Please help.

That's an odd one @OkayChamp and not one that I have seen others mention.

Can I ask on what platform you are playing and what your sound set up is? It could be a case that you have it set for surround sound but only have stereo output.

Best thing to do is go ahead and play around with your audio settings both in-game and on your system to see if it makes a difference.

So I've seen this issue being reported all over the place and I started experiencing it myself after the first Apex update arrived about a week ago .. 

Playing the game and every now and again I would notice the sound of my own footsteps and enemy footsteps would disappear, but then seconds later the audio would "catch up" and it would all happen at once. Then it started happening with every sound effect... Gun fire, doors opening and closing, legend quips, narrator voice etc. It was game breaking for me. Super frustrating.

Then I saw a dude on Reddit (shoutout to that dude  I'll update when I lookup his name later) said the he solved it by uninstalling from his solid state drive and reinstalled on his HDD. I'm happy to report, it also worked for me! If you are on PC (or console with a HDD attached) try this method and see if it helps. I hope it works for you because now the game is payable for me.

I went to play on Apex after the latest update, and I could hear every other sound except gunfire from my teammates or the enemy and I can't hear the sound of approaching teams. I tried reseting my game and nothing seemed to work.

@SorcererDragon Hi, it looks like you're playing on Console and PC, which system do you encounter this on? If you get this on PC, can you try a repair?

You'll find the repair option by right-clicking the game panel in Origin.

I can't hear any footsteps what so ever. Can't hear mine, can't hear teammates and can't hear enemies. 

In the beginning I couldn't hear gun shots from other players as well. I fixed it a few days later. Yet I don't have a solution for footsteps
