Possible AMD driver bug causing Anti-Cheat bans.

https://twitter.com/CounterStrike/status/1712875606776729832?s=19

Looks like AMD drivers are causing VAC bans on Counter Strike.

Is it not too forward to suggest that this is causing Apex Legends false bans?

"AMD's latest driver has made their "Anti-Lag/+" feature available for CS2, which is implemented by detouring engine dll functions.

If you are an AMD customer and play CS2, DO NOT ENABLE ANTI-LAG/+; any tampering with CS code will result in a VAC ban."

    Hey everyone,

To clarify, the team has completed reversing these bans for those that were affected by this issue.

Our Terms of Service team is aware of this situation and can identify when a ban was caused by this versus other behavior, yes.

If your account is still banned or suspended or was recently actioned, this will need to be appealed through the ToS team using the standard appeal process here so they can take another look.

After multiple reviews if the ban or suspension remains in place, that will be final and not something we'll be able to change here either at this point.

  • Hi!

A general question regarding the issue mentioned in the topic since I have been trying to help a family member in this matter.

What is the status of reversing the bans that were falsely activated by the AMD Anti-Lag+ driver feature during October?

Being aware of this thread, is it sufficient to post here to announce still being affected?

With respect to the official way - is the ToS team aware of the issues? It seems like the later posts in this thread have gotten their 3 appeals denied even though timing, driver and equipment are all correct.

  • This is still A thing, i just got banned from this and my first appeal got declined even tho i’m sending proof that i got the anti-lag with AMD (if i knew about this before id just disable anti lag before playing).

Is this something that you are working on fixing? I mean if we cant even appeal the ban without getting a automated answer where the appeal just gets denied what’s the point of even trying?

More and more people are starting to use AMD Cards these days so more people Will get banned.

all i did was playing it takes two with my girlfriend and then i got banned and now i got A pissed gf because i cant play with her lol
