PS4: Guns disappear randomly when switching weapons

When I switch weapons sometimes my gun glitches and disappears. The only way to fix it is to switch back to the other weapon or switch to the invisible weapon and pick up a new weapon off the ground. If you pick up a new weapon off the ground tho the other weapon slot still stays invisible making it where you only have 1 weapon for the remainder of the game. If I close the game and relaunch it will work fine for a little bit then happen again randomly. Is this common or did I just get a bad download?
