r5apex.exe never exits and cannot be killed

Here's a temp option (I say option as I have not conducted enough test) but -
I noticed there were two r5apex*.exe in the game directory. I renamed r5apex_dx12.exe to r5apex_dx12.exe.gone and it so far is closing right away now. Before it would stay open. Worth a shot

Something must've updated or maybe with the release of the WinterTide event something changed, and so far (after a few hour of Apex) I haven't run into the same issue again.i have also played 2 hours and so far seems to close and not be in the processes background i will play some more then give another update but so far it's fixed....

It's the anti cheat EAC makes problems in other games too. And sometimes the games runs like crap because EAC uses 70% of the CPU.
Same issue in STEAM

I think this is an issue with EAC and they have to update to fix that problem
Also have high temps like 2 weeks now
