Re: Apex Crossplay Issues

So if my son is on PS4 and I am on XBox the game works with us being on the same EA account. But if my son wants to play Apex with me he can’t because we have the same EA account ? If I have that right what is the fix, and will progression and Apex accounts be lost there is a lot of money and time spent on each account would hate to loose anything.

I’m trying to do same. My son plays Play station and I’m on Xbox but we have same EA account (mine) we want to game with each other 

I know same here have spent tons of money on both consoles on  Apex legends. It would be highly jacked up that I can’t play with my son. 

Same here. Since I’m low level I made a new email account, new AE account, and new Xbox sign in. Works now luckily it’s all free 

I am using Xbox with a totally different email than my bf who uses PC. We try adding each other but neither of us get the friend request.
However, I was able to friend his nephews account on PS4. So we are able to cross play together when his nephew is on, though when its just us, we can't add each other, so therefore unfortunately we can't cross play without his nephew on. I feel like its a bug in the system, and the only work around is if we join through a PS4 account. So Xbox and PC can't add each while PS4 and PC can, then PS4 can add PC/Xbox users. PS4 seems to have the luck in early beta. Hope there is a work around, or fix soon!! Crossplay definitely has been slightly buggy yet seems to have slightly improved since starting. I will patiently wait, tho eager to play duos with my man!!

Have you double-checked to make sure the account name is correct? I've seen some cases where the name has a space or underscore that's being missed, which could be why nothing is coming up when you search it.

@EA_KentI created a whole new ea and origin account after reading all the issues regarding Apex cross play. I can find my ps account and friend it but I can't find my son's ps id. He can find my pc id from ps however, the friend requests will not go through. What's the fix?

Hmm, I see. Is your son playing on a child account?

@EA_KentYes. It is however, unrestricted. He has no problems adding friends on the ps network. I would figure that there would be no issue with the crossplatform.

Just to confirm, your son's PSN account is not connected to the same EA Account as the PC account you're playing on?

@EA_KentThe PC account is brand new. It is not connected to my son's ps account. They are completely separate and under two different email addresses. To add to this, I type his name into the friend finder and it will not locate him. He can find me from his ps account,  he sends the friend request and does not appear on my pc account.

That's definitely strange. From what you've described it sounds like there shouldn't be any reason why the invites wouldn't go through. If you don't mind, can you direct message me the EA ID on the PC account you're playing on, and the PSN ID on your son's account? I'm curious if there's anything I can spot that might explain why they can't invite each other.

Do you know if either you or your friend are playing on a Child account? I'm curious if that's a common factor in all these cases.

@EA_Kent Me (PC) and My sister (Xbox one) want to play with each other, however, I am unable to find her account name even though I double and triple checked it, She can find my account but the notification doesn't go through to the PC. We both have crossplay enabled and we are on separate accounts. She is on a family/child account but it is unrestricted and should be able to use play with me.

Im also experiencing this. I have an Xbox user friend.
I can add him on PC but after that, his stats is just level 1 with 0 kills. Also, its showing a PC icon.
If i tried to search again this ID,i can see same 2 ID's. 1 pc and 1 gamepad icon. Both showing that they are already my friend.
But on my friends list, the only one showing is the ID with PC icon not the ID with Gamepad Icon.
Even if we're online, we can't see each other online and there's no way we can invite each.
Also Tried switching from beta to technical version of origin, still no luck.

@EA_KentYou asked me a week ago  to dm you my son's ps id and my pc id for apex. I did that, it's  been a week and some sort of an update would appreciated.

Thanks for the updates on this. Can you confirm for me if any of the accounts in question are underage accounts? I'm still trying to gather up enough information to see if that's a common factor in these cases.

I have to same issue here, my xbox is linked to a different account than the one im using in PC and can't receive invits both way. Also the xbox is not in child protection if that can help.

having the same issue as many others.  Xbox account A can find PC account B and send friend request, but account B on PC never gets the friend request.  If I search for account A on PC under account B, I don't even see account A.  I've even created a new account (C) on the PC based on recommendations here as A and B may be related, and I get the same result.  

Oddly enough, if I log in to account B on xbox, I'm able to send and accept a friend request to account B on PC.  This is exactly what they are saying can't be done... yet I'm not able to connect two completely separate accounts.
