Re: Apex lag/stutter caused by reading

@Revangelion

I've heard about assets causing this exact issue for some users, deleting them and letting the game generate them again should resolve the issue.

  1. Press Windows Key + R
  2. Put in %USERPROFILE% and select OK
  3. Go to the Saved Games Folder
  4. Navigate to the Respawn Folder
  5. Navigate to the Apex Folder
  6. Delete the assets folder

If that does not resolve the issue, adding a DxDiag to your post might also help with pinpointing the issue.

    Were you able to solve this by chance? I just did a clean install of Windows 11 on a laptop with an Intel 8750H + Nvidia 1060 GB and am seeing stuttering every 10 seconds or so. It'll do it on the main screen but also in game and I haven't been able to track down the issue yet: https://youtu.be/K15PrpOd3GY

    I'll be disabling Xbox DVR next, but I'm not optimistic.

    @jrronimo No. But I did some digging and found its caused by Apex rigorously scanning your system logs. May be its looking for cheat traces, may be it has some malicious intent, who knows.

    @Revangelion Thanks for getting back to me!

    I also figured out my problem: The power brick that came with my machine wasn't powerful enough. When under load, the machine would constantly switch to the battery and go into power saving modes. This caused the whole machine to throttle constantly. I replaced the power brick and now everything is smooth as silk.
