Re: FPS stuck at 60fps after the recent update

I had this, but not after an apex update. Instead, mine was after a graphics driver update. I tried different launch settings like -fps_max unlimited in steam and all that. I messed with it for like 30 minutes and found that when I set the display mode to "Borderless window," it broke past the 60fps cap; I had it on fullscreen before. Now at about 200fps in menu and 130-160fps in game.

You could try reinstalling the game as well if you still can't get it to work.

  • Thanks for responding and sharing that! Since there was no response from the apex dev team I had to figure it out by myself too. For me, it was not a graphics update because I have disabled GPU or windows updates on my PC. The 'borderless window' mode is the only fix for this issue - they need to fix this in their game, so I wouldn't advice anyone reading this to reinstall their game - its too much data and not going to fix it.
