Solved Apex Legends Steam EasyAntiCheat runtime check: reWASD

Hello, 

2 days ago, without changing anything on my PC for the last months, no new program installed, nothing at all. Suddenly I was being kicked out by the anti cheat reporting the runtime check fail. 

I tried everything, from the offical sources, and even chatting with EA support (I failed to mention reWASD was installed) to youtube videos and webpages. 

Summary: It was reWASD. Deactivating it does not fix the problem, you have to uninstall it. After uninstalling and restarting the problem is gone.

    Yeah some people are saying on reddit that if you remove the cheats from your system you won’t get that message anymore and you can play apex again like the rest of us.

    I was not using reWASD (I bought it but never actually used it), and I am actually happy that finally reWASD and Joytokey are being blocked, mainly to prevent aim assist on mouse.

    I had the same problem last week, been using REWASD for my controller for ages but lately I had been having issues and the game would always DC me. I was only using REWASD for my Dualshock 4 controller just for platformer games on Xbox Cloud Gaming. Is there a way to actually have rewasd installed without triggering the anti-cheat? I'm not even using REWASD on Apex why would it trigger?

    I actually have the same problem with ea anticheat and re wasd, I can’t play on fc24 and now and don’t have any other solution to connect my controller on the game, if anyone can advise me something i will really appreciate that because i don’t have any solution at the moment ☹️
