BFV is firmly rooted at the bottom of my list (although it did bring some good features) with BF2042 above that.

I would say the same, but with BF2042 below BFV, however I rank the BFV pacific somewhat higher. That part of BFV was quite good imo, especially playing BT.
A game like BF2042 without server browser, rental servers, joystick control and classes will always be at the bottom of my list. Main reason why I didn't buy it after trying the beta. - Ai-Fluffy4 years agoSeasoned Ace
Last.
They chased every thing and ended up making a game no one wanted.
They have already destroyed the community.
There isn't much left at this point.

There isn't much left at this point.I'm old enough to remember the release of BF3 which this board rates very highly.
BF3 generated as much hate as V and 2042 relatively speaking.
That game 'destroyed' the community too but here we are 10 years later!

True, they were all a bit buggy at launch. The difference was that people really enjoyed the teamplay aspect so much that they were willing to overlook its imperfections. Then they went and killed the teamplay by removing the classes and introducing the specialists. This just resulted in selfish playing. Don't seek out a support guy, no need when you can just carry the ammo box yourself? Why play a medic at all, when anyone can carry the med kit and revive their squadmates at least? Why bother kitting out as an engineer and repairing when nobody cares anyway because the tank will heal itself?

I'd put 2042 in its current state somewhere just below average for now, where BF5 and Hardline are. I believe it can get better and go up the ladder to join higher ranks down the line. But for now, its underwhelming

Im with the minority here and rank BF3 at the top of my list. Hardline was ok for some fun too.
2042 really hasnt earned GAME status yet and probably never will imho so it will never make my list. I have the same feelings about Call of Duty. I love some of the releases and place some of the releases along with 2042.

Least favorit. I also had a rough start with BFV but after a few patches and balancing issues it was fun and rewarding. We are miles away from that point for BF2042. Miles... sorry I meant light years.

Probably 5th
- Battlefield 2
- Battlefield 3
- Bad Company 2
- Battlefield V
- Battlefield 2042
Other games I either didn't play or wasn't playing with friends, BF4, for example. I didn't really have a community to play with as very few people on Asian servers ever talk back. Also, the hacks. OMG. You boys think it's bad on European servers...
- @Lanc3_B0yL3s The hate for BF3 had nothing to do with bugs and everything to do with the new direction of battlefield.
The complaints ranged from no commander mode, to linear flag layouts, one man armies and the overall casualisation of the game to appeal to the COD audience.
So it's incredibly ironic reading posts in this thread praising BF3 while attacking 2042.
