    2042 is a hero shooter nobody asked for in Battlefield and sadly EA thinks it's the future of the series. So if it's not a 'Battlefield' game now, it will be later

I've said numerous times that EA decided that Battlefield players are not the target audience for Battlefield 2042.  If you think of it that way, everything makes more sense.
