2042: Worst Destruction in the series

Question

This is one of many topics about 2042 that has massively regressed and made this title worse than previous titles.&nbsp; I firmly believe that massive destruction is one of CORE pillars that make Battlefield special and set itself apart from other military fps games.&nbsp; Now it feels like we have a Call of Duty guy directing things because I find myself EXTREMELY frustrated with so many buildings and environments that should be destroyable but it's not.&nbsp; I hope whoever directed this title is fired and gone as he has no clue what makes a BF title special.&nbsp; If you agree please continue to post on this so we can get more attention on this matter, thank you.

@XD-DAWG11 You can take the saying “Worst ___ in the series” and put anything in there. Worst roll out, worst destruction, worst animations, worst etc…. It all fits. I’m really not sure how they could think it was ok to release it in this state. It’s all about the money, honey.

@ATFGunr Fair point. Everything about this game is the worst in the series except maybe the time period, which I thought had potential (but that didn’t turn out well either)

@Steve081372In the lore, the world is falling apart, but everything in the game is perfectly clean and indestructible. The destruction in this game is basically nonexistent and it’s a massive step backwards from Battlefield titles even 10 years ago. I agree that this is a big issue with the game, but if it’s taken DICE this long just to speak to the community and work on a half-baked scoreboard, I seriously doubt they will do anything about it.&nbsp;

@Steve081372 This is a likely casualty of moving to 128 players. That puts a huge load on CPU's, which limits bandwidth for things like highly destructible buildings that will need a lot of CPU power for physics calculations.

This is probably the same reason why maps are so flat, they don't have the hardware budget for more complex geometry with that many players and maps this big.
