That's it. As the title say
based on this
I think the game already have enough way to distinguish enemy like glow stick and other gadgets, not to mention stuff like appearing on minimap if you shooting (which I'm not a fan too but I guess it's here to make suppressor/subsonic ammo worth)
I prefer the way it work back in Battlefield 1 Incursions and Battlefield V. It also make the Recon role more vital and not just pew pew sniping guy.
One thing I can think that 3D spot is need is to spot enemy air vehicle but on the other hand, I don't see any problem with the current system (even I'm solo player who don't use voice chat) Too complex? Come on, it's one tap for ping and two taps for danger. It's not that hard. Well maybe we need to know if my driver see the ping or not. I don't want the game to push even more to being mnimap/UI shooter. It's like you don't trust your eye and now rely on "press Q to check if there's enemy or not"
I know people are pushing to make a game more like Battlefield 4 and seeing Battlefield V as a mistake (It's not!) but it doesn't mean you need to bring everything from that to this game
I don't think I can change anything but I'm voicing my opinion just in case
So DICE is finally giving up on the BFV spotting system of attrition and poor player visibility. They've tried all kinds of ways to fix visibility in the game since removing 3D spotting.
Such as putting red and green lights on soldiers, adding Doritos over soldier's heads in close proximity, and even making soldiers 'glow' brightly in darkly lit areas.
They've tried many attempts at innovating on 3D spotting, but it looks like DICE has come full circle back to the original design used in Bad Company series.
Usually the best design ends up winning in the end.

Better just to wait and see how it's implemented before getting too worked up I would say.

Definitely sounds like the best plan. 👍
- LamicroszX3 years agoRising Scout@OskooI_007 I think Battlefield 2042 already work well in term of visibility. I kinda get what people talking on Battlefield V but I don't see it as big problem as the other.
I also think it's part of learning the game. Back in the Battlefield 4 (where I'm newbie trying to learn the game) I have a problem sometimes when I need to identify enemy and end up running pass through them but I get better over time and seems to ok right now.
