This seems like it will be a more accurate version of the PING system that is already in there. Not 3D spotting. As sometimes it is very difficult to PING enemies when it clings to unwanted geometry.
I personally have never had a problem with 3D spotting though. So if it did come back. I would not mind.

@UP_HawxxeyeBF1 was much better, audio spot like in BF2042 (and BF4) makes us look more at the minimap, than at the rest of the screen. That is borderline stupid.
Dice should work on better visibility, things like color of skins and maps could be adjusted and Frostbite has always had problems with lighting especially with looking in to or out of areas. Bad visibility results in bad gameplay and they have to introduce all kind of awful game mechanics to compensate (doritoes, red dots, minimap spotting etc etc).
BF1 had one big advantage and that was the factions. They could control factions on each map and select combinations that didn't introduce too many issues, but with skins and 'realistic graphics' this is impossible. - UP_Hawxxeye3 years agoLegend@cso7777 If I remember well, n BF1, the German uniforms gave them advantage in the dark.
- UP_Hawxxeye3 years agoLegend@Skill4Reel I do hope it can at least track vehicles for the user as long as they remain in sight

Having spend a year getting used to how this works in 2042, there is literally NO reason to change this. Of all the things players are asking to be changed/altered, why is this being given any development time? ugh.
- LamicroszX3 years agoRising Scout@OskooI_007 I think Battlefield 2042 already work well in term of visibility. I kinda get what people talking on Battlefield V but I don't see it as big problem as the other.
I also think it's part of learning the game. Back in the Battlefield 4 (where I'm newbie trying to learn the game) I have a problem sometimes when I need to identify enemy and end up running pass through them but I get better over time and seems to ok right now. - LamicroszX3 years agoRising Scout@BgobbleD yeah that's what I'm talking. Each class have their role/way to support the team. (maybe except Assault if you don't want to count kill/anti-infantry/anti-tank thing)
Heal, Revive - Medic (or Support in this game)
Resupply - Support
Repair - Support (or Engineer in this game)
Spot - Recon
It also related to my feedback regarding to class system as well - LamicroszX3 years agoRising Scout@Ironhead841 sure (same with their idea about weapon proficiency thing when talking about class system instead of locking weapon type to each class) 🙂 I'm just having some concern and want to post it here "just in case"
- LamicroszX3 years agoRising Scout@UP_Hawxxeye I haven't play Battlefield 1 for long time. I only remember that being a thing in Battlefront. But that's a good idea. Still give you what's going on but not way too much.
- LamicroszX3 years agoRising Scout@cso7777 yeah I really like Battlefield 1 in term of identify enemy based on color of uniform
but since customization become a thing and they need to sell skin to get some money (which better than selling the map in term of not splitting the player base), it kinda hard to do it. I'm not 100% happy that we need to rely on glowstick but still...ok imo
