A Message to EA, Save this Game
Hi, Now lets start by agreeing one thing, This game clearly should have stayed in development and delayed for a couple months, lets get onto the main topic of this thread.
Let me get straight to the point by saying that, EA is the problem with this game, Yes some responsibility will be on the developers, But with new information it appears although the developers don't really have a say on what happens in the games development, with this handling of the franchise it is slowly going to drive DICE and Battlefield into an early grave, This game needs more loving, and EA is incapable of loving anything other than money, The developers at DICE don't have any creative reign over Battlefield at all anymore, and unfortunately this just means that Battlefield is going to turn into more of a COD but just bigger maps and more people, Before this game both Battlefield and Call of Duty were separated, Now with this monstrosity they are more alike than anyone would like to see, COD is known for its stupid skins, Battlefield used to be known for its Realistic/Tactical theme
Now let's discuss the fact that this community is consistently being ignored whenever someone has any negative feedback, or opinions on the game, Earlier this year the community was asked for its opinion and to give feedback on certain cosmetics, These cosmetics are the ones that is now arriving to the game this month, Such as the Santa Boris, The sleigh skins ect, These skins were all downvoted by the community, and EA & DICE were told that these skins don't belong in Battlefield, yet they ignore the feedback that they directly asked for and decided to add it anyway
A side note I'd like to point out, Ever since Early Access for Battlefield 2042, In the 1st Day Weapon & Vehicle progression were disabled, Later it was then restricted to Level 12, The entirety of the PVE Community are annoyed at this, And to be fair, you can't blame them, They paid full price, and are forced to play a certain way to unlock stuff despite being told they can play no matter what and that progression is universal, But thats not the topic of this thread, I wanted to point out that ever since Early Access, This section of the community has been repeatedly ignored by developers on Twitter, besides one, and applauds to JA_WEIBE, He has been the one developer who didn't ignore this question, But unfortunately he has no control as his team doesn't oversee Solo & CO-OP, The development team who oversees that section or Battlefield 2042, should take a look at these two threads that have a major demand for unrestricted progression to he reinstated into SOLO & CO-OP
Both these discussions have a ton of support from the community, Yet have been ignored for any official statement regarding this issue
Developers, This is where you gotta take some responsibility, Instead of ignoring the high amount of players, If you can't help with their issue, Pass them on to someone who can, Like JA_WEIBE did in a sense, He stated that he can't change SOLO & CO-OP but passed along the feedback, We need more people like him, Yous gotta communicate more, be a lot more transparent with the community
For a company who claims Putting the community first it surely doesn't feel like it, It feels like more of a Money grab now, Thanks to EA, Obviously they have to force another franchise to get money since their losing one of their biggest profitable games, Fifa.
Something minor that could mean a lot to the community would be for there to be two Official threads where you can leave feedback & ideas for the game, Although lets be fair these things would most likely be ignored because most of these wouldn't bring monetary gain it would still mean a lot
May add more to this at a later date, as of right now this game just makes me feel empty, Having so much hope for this game since i love the franchise to be hit with all of this is just soul-crushing
