A Q & A session from time to time would be really nice

The game is currently under live service, support and further development.

I can understand that some changes are under way, some are not and that some will happen faster than others.

But it would be super awesome and good for peoples mood in general if there could be some Q&A sessions every little while where we could submit questions about various current or missing elements of the game and have an "official answer" about the current stance/view on these things.

The older Q&As could also be an archive for people to look up before asking multiple times.

These are the official forums and thus I believe they should be the place where we get to ask and get some answers, not some third party social media site.

I am aware that there is a "known issues" section but it is very specific and does not address subjects that are not major technical issues.

A lot of people would be thankful if they could get a better insight on the status quo and future by getting some answers like this.

For example the Question and Answer could be like that:

Q: What is the team's view on the capability of Liz's TGS missile to counter stealth helis as designed?

A: We are aware that the TGS is quite dismal at hitting aircraft and we are exploring ways to improve it while keeping it fair for ground vehicles who cannot barrel roll out of the way.

A: We find that TGS is fine, also that School Glue can be part of a complete breakfast! nomnomnom

Wrong forum? This is the BF2042 forum -- not sure which game you are talking about.

But as you are writing here, if BF2042 would receive and life service to speak of and would be under further development, then yes, also for BF2042 such a thing would be a great idea. Not a new one, but a good one nonetheless.
Can you remember the promised write-up of the findings for for the maps they once upon at time promised? Long before it became apparent that they intend to only add a maximum of four new maps before cancelling support for the game. Or the promised 'feedback loop' for specialists? With these things in mind I guess that they might even promise such a Q&A session to be done with the community SOON (the likelihood of this ever happening is up to the reader to judge).

Well they had the feedback loop on here, then that got put on the backburner. EA has had 3 surveys now, though I don't know if they actually used the information because nothing changed.
One big factor in a Q&A is, can they even ask the right questions?
The game is so far off from an actual BF game that it seems they would miss the boat on the right questions to ask. Just listen to the last few videos with the Devs and CMs. They think the game is great and only needs a few tweaks here and there.
Also, it is a perspective thing. They don't play the game like players. They play on local servers, all with the same ping, they can choose the map they want, etc. Most of the biggest issues we have (lack of a Server Browser, MM queue, TTK vs TTD) they don't experience firsthand. So they would never think those are big issues for players because outside of us complaining about them, they don't think they are as big of a problem as we do.
Ah, "don't worry about Mount Vesuvius, it is no big deal", they would tell the citizens of Pompeii as they sit in Rome.

@Adamonic a problem with the feedback loop is that DICE gets to pick the subject of the questions instead of us.

@UP_Hawxxeye good idea but that requires real work from DICE and to have a studio line regarding certain things and that is too much to ask from them sadly

That was my dislike about the feedback loo, when it was first mentioned I thought it would be a two way open communication rather than the preset questionnaire style.

Here's the problem with DICE: they absolutely refuse to answer questions in any way other than "we are aware" (with no follow up, just that they are aware and that's only if the stars align and you are super fortunate to get that) or "here are the patch notes for the update tomorrow".
everything is super top secret at dice and they give us the mushroom treatment: feed them * and keep them in the dark. they have zero respect for us and it appears they don't feel we DESERVE any sort of road map or information

Pretty much this...I do not however lay the blame at any of the CMs feet. I'm sure they wake up every day and eat their Fruit Loops dreading logging into the boards for another day of endless complaint threads about the same issues for a year. I'm sure that they pass on our feelings/complaints/observations and get told NOT to give out anything other than, "We are aware of your issue". I personally wouldn't want to do it.
The fault is 100% executive, either Dice or EA and my vote is EA...
