For me, Redacted is the best map for this game mode. I think that making it playable on other maps, and also randomizing the equipment available from the crates, or making it a certain set, would make the game more interesting and varied. I think this is a great mode for a tutorial, as you can use all the abilities of the specialists and advance the various masteries up to 12. The number of players required to start the game is small, and since you can start with only friends, you can still play even with a dwindling player base.
Today we used Rao. Apparently, when you hack a Geist, it will spot the Geist or all the Geists in the vicinity of it. I expected the Geist to stop working or to fight each other, but unfortunately, I could not see any such effect. Also, for some reason, we encountered allies using ammo boxes and medical kits early on. It seems to be a technique I am unaware of. Please give me some information!
@Gurz1019_MP When you hack an enemy as Rao, other ones nearby are indeed highlighted for a short time. It'd be nice if there was some functionality to make the Geists do something when he hacks them, but I suppose that'd involve an overhaul of him for a short-term mode.
I'm less sure about the ammo boxes and medical kits unless they were using Angel or Falck and throwing ammo packs or using the syringe-pistol, as they work as normal in the early stages.Ah, it turns out that I have equipment that I should not have been able to equip. Apparently, there is a spot where you can drop off a box of equipment from Enziel. When you interact with the equipment box, you get the original equipment. This seems to be a bug.
- @Gurz1019_MP Aaaah I should have remembered that as I was messing around with Angel's crate on Redacted recently due to some videos which came out (I was trying to see if it'd help me sort out another issue).
I'll report that back as it does kind of "break" the mode. It might be that it's one of those things where it may not be fixed, but at least it's good to let someone know. Cheers.
