I tried playing a quick game this morning, but no matter which mode I chose, there weren't enough players to start a game, so I gave up and will try again later. I don't think I've had this happen with any previous BF while it was the "current" game.
If Breakthrough were available in Portal, we would no doubt have plenty of servers running and I've no doubt they would be hugely popular (not least because Hourglass could be left off the map rotation!)
If DICE really don't want to introduce a browser option, then please just give us persistent servers that run through a cycle of maps and keep teams together across each round. It's what every previous BF game did and it worked. If you're on a server with good players and close results, you'll keep playing. That might also make it possible to bring in more than friends too. One of the reasons my friends don't play 2042 is because there are 6 of us, and right now we can't all get into an AoW game together; easily solved by increasing the game party size to 8 (and please stop calling it a party, it's a squad).
