Aim assist?

I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I'm never able to snap to an apponent when ADS. Seems like I lose every 1 v 1 encounter. Is there a trick to aiming with aim assist that I'm missing?? I have it set at 100%. These YouTubers I watch lock onto everything, even guys head glitching. Any constructive advice would be appreciated,  thanks in advance

  • @Karen0202 Aim assist is bugged on controller. Essentially any horizontal movements on your opponents part sort of pushes your aim away making it seem to slide over them.
Best thing I've found is to reduce Soldier Aim Assist Snap. Take it down to 50 and tweak from here until it feels like it's in the best spot for you.
Do the same with Aim Assist.

Some of the scopes are also bugged from at least 3x and above, so stick with 1.25 scopes until you've found your groove.

@Karen0202 Aim assist looks for a little bit of input from the player. If you stand still while aiming it won’t track, but if you strafe slightly it’ll track. Most shooters with aim assist function like this from my experience. Try going into Portal and find what movements get the assist to kick on. If you have a friend practice with them.

What platform are you on? If you’re on PC I would highly recommend switching to MnK.
  • Thanks for the response. I'm on PS4. I'm beginning to think the game doesn't respond well to this console
  • @Karen0202 Aim assist has been pretty much glitched/nonexistent since launch. I play both ps4 and ps5. Definitely the worst aim assist in battlefield yet. If you search this forum, YouTube and Reddit you'll see people have complained about forever. Doesn't appear dice cares.
