Any reason Console players (Xbox X/S here) can't type in chat box waiting for game to start at squad screen while we wait for players? Also... would it be possible to turn off chat box in options or hud mover to move chat box where we want it or make it smaller etc.?
Chat box can be turned off.
The chat box is a last ditch effort for those of us that like to communicate a bit to coordinate the next move, etc. Sorry to annoy the rest of you that are too good for voip AND chat and just like to lone wolf it, leaving your squad mate that likes to play the objectives out in the wind because he can't change squads. 😉
Can't be turned off. The YouTube video only tricks the game into hiding it but you have to sacrifice a function key on your player button mapping. It cannot be removed and seems to be completely useless to console players.
They left voip out for so long everyone just got used to lone wolfing. And when it's actually turned on, it's just trash talk, nothing productive. I think a lot of people are just annoyed with all the bugs so why even get that involved with a broken game.
