I never paid much attention until now, but what the heck is going on with the repair tool? Eighty thousand health repaired? I haven't spent a lot of time repairing things, but I have spent a few rounds repairing transports the whole time and I have 1600 repaired? Seems kind of crazy. What are your experiences?

I believe that repair tool and medical crate progression share the same issue, that auto heal and auto repair interfere with the correct progression tracking.

Definitely feels like 80,000 is too high/repairing doesn't reward enough but its nice to just sit and chill as others have mentioned. A dedicated repair monkey can change the whole match when you got an ace piloting. The last update fixed repairing inside vehicles and the cooldowns so I'd wager we'll see a lot more repairs being done.
I've had two notable matches this week where the pilot and I survived the whole round just flying and dodging rockets - smiles, puppy dogs, and rainbows all around.

I did it with a squad of mine, 1 angel 1 rao, me as Irish and a Falk as driver
You can make a tank pretty much indestructible with to a point where the whole enemy team try’s to take you out.
Irish sentinel and repairtool makes any vehicle EXTREMELY tanky.
A MAV with 2 irish shielding the vehicle and repairtool is invulnerable except a Sundance manage to c5 which is very unlikely since 2 repair monkeys protect the vehicle.
the 3 gunners in the vehicle can unleash hell.
