I mostly like bigger maps but i have to admit that Redacted is a great addition.
It is big enough and has flanking routes so you don't have to sit in the smoke at chock points if you don't like that. Thanks DICE.
It's way, way too small for a Battlefield map.
And no, Metro and Locker should never ever have been designed and released. They dont belong in Battlefield.
It's BattleFIELD not BattleHALLWAY.

Need variation. A few infy only maps keep every BF fresh. I never liked Lockers but many did. Op Metro was a masterpiece once you knew how to play it and work through as a team.
The issue with BF2042 has been its scale. Too big. Too empty. The 64 v 64 player count is too much, or at least too open, with too many vehicles. Some flags dont ever have the love because they too far away. Theres no real strategy to holding down a map. This has alienated the fans.
The fact that only 6 maps at launch that were all massive and full of Hovercraft hasnt helped. The fact that Portal maps and guns were not integrated, part of 128 Conquest further divided the community. The best ready to go maps are 32 v 32 from past BFs but they arent using Portal that way and they arent releasing enough 128 maps. They reworked them. The big maps have killed bf2042.
