April update 4.0: Tanks will be too weak
Tanks are not hard to kill. With vehicles being more rare (respawn time doubled) and Sundance's grenades working as they were meant to function, with no elevated terrain by the spawns overseeing a flag (like in hourglass), tanks will be really rare.
If there is no health increase or movement speed buff or something, tanks will disappear from the game.
What is critical is that the Air to Ground missiles from helicopters, but mostly airplanes, can, in seconds, remove tanks out of the map for two minutes.
I foresee that, if a team has a good pilot, with no means to fight airplanes, like in the current state, that team will wipe all tanks and helicopters from the maps easily. So a nerf on the airplanes speed, turn, flares recharge or at least to the damage of the air to ground missiles should balance the things a bit and help Tanks remain part of the game.
Right now, a crucial difference between this BF and the previous ones is that the destruction of buildings used to make tanks stronger, and they already felt weak and not fun to play in BF2042.
This is just a general idea and I suggest DICE to track how much a tank moves, how many kills they get, how long they take to get destroyed after the first damage over 10, and how long they stay in the game (as low movement vs. a long life would mean a spawn camper). That way you can see how much a tank is part of the team play.
And apparently Rao will be buffed, so, there is that too.
Something to think about and keep an eye on.
PS.: Dice, please, talk about server browser and map rotation. Playing with friends is more important than many bugs.
