@A-RAF2019 The main reason tanks are not as tough as BF4 is because we don’t see players teaming up to repair friendly tanks.
A random guy coming from no where to repair my vehicle was very frequent. Even more frequent was seeing two players teaming up in a tank for the whole game racking 60 kills.
By the way, is it that you want the 60-0 KD to come back to battlefield 2024? Because that’s pathetic.

@SmackChatHC No! Hell no, I don't want that!
I just believe that vehicles are the Hallmark of Battlefield and should be there. Something was off more on the map design side. When we used to see tanks raking up 60 kills like that, tanks automatically became an event. They had to go. And they kinda deserve that many kills for the team effort, btw. It is 30 each if you think about it, if one guy is repairing. But now tanks don't get 30-0 anymore. Jets do! This is evidence of the imbalance. They should track data like kills, time alive and movement before making random decisions like doubling the respawn time. Instead, they should take conservative approaches like +10% or +10 seconds gradual steps.- kregora4 years agoSeasoned Ace@A-RAF2019 Nah, I believe we don't have time for a conservative approach. Currently vehicles are a major pain, and these changes may turn that around.
I spend the last week playing the featured conquest-64 modes and my observation is:
If the maps provide enough cover and concealment, the current vehicle numbers work, like BF2042 factions on BF3 and BC2 maps.
If there are only MAV, LATV and Hovercrafts, any map is enjoyable.
And another thing is, vehicles with only a driver are sitting ducks.
So to make the BF2042 maps viable, the number of vehicles has to get down. Maybe that has the effect that players start to care more about them.
Stay put when they get repaired, ask for repairs, etc. and people maybe protect their own teams vehicles.
Currently they are so plenty that nobody actually cares.
In BF4 you at least had control points you needed to get, to change the number of vehicles available for your team.
