Armor plates don't belong CQ/Breakthrough or any other mode besides Hazard zone

After spending 102 hours in the game I have to say that the armorplates in normal multiplayer are getting really annoying. Besides the hitbox issues that we as players currently face we also have to deal with armorplates and I stopped counting how many gun fights I lost just because the enemy was using this health increasing non sense perk. It just feels cheap when you meet someone equally skilled in aim etc and lose just because you weren't using the cheap health increasing meta perk.

Please remove the armor plates from "normal" Multiplayer modes and keep them to hazard zone.

@theCrazyOnes i can not even begin to count the amount of times i lost gunfights because the enemy has these god forsaken plates...
at the very least HS should negate them 100% anything less is just players needing as many crutches and DICE is more then happy to donate every player a mobility scooter in 2042-feelgoodfield.
god forbid anyone feels frustrated or even worse the urge to improve as a player

WW3 handles armor plates really well in my opinion, they only protect you from body shots but in this game they just add HP on Top, which just feels cheap to be honest.

You should win gunfights because you deserve it when you doing everything right and not to lose them just because you have more HP.

Feels like a crutch perk to me.

  • please DICE, REMOVE this senseless ARMOR! It has absolutely NO place in traditional battlefield experiences.

I haven't seen infantry only for a bit, but it's basically mandatory in that mode which makes it a boring as hell gadget, period. If you're not using it, you're basically gimping yourself.

I don't mind Irish (I think?) spawning with armor as part of his kit, that's fine and cool and all. But honestly the personal plating is really antithetical to teamplay as it's a purely selfish gadget (like the medipen, but worse). Because you can usually guesstimate how many rounds to put into an enemy to kill them from full health, but when that first hit "pip" showing that they have amor pops up you're having to potentially adjust your strategy for the gunfight in a microsecond since you're now going to have to put a few more bullets in them.

If it at least only protected for body shots and still left headshots unarmored I'd be more alright with it. It's weird that body armor plates protect your head, but I guess I just don't understand the deep lore and technical workings of the world of 2042, where body armor plates also double as effective helmets.

mandatory? I don't see so many players wearing them. for me and i think for many other players some gadgets are more essential than these plates.

And what advantage do they give? Additional 20 hit points?  WOW ^^

And Irish gets 10 on spawn and I think he can collect it from dropped ammo pouches.

Most of the people playing K30, BVM, LCMG so spray and pray with large mags kill you anyway. So in the end it is one more Bullet needed on these weapon…

Two Body shots with Marksman or Sniper or Headshot with the same weapons will kill you.

So, the IBA has not so much impact as you think. Yeah, it can save you but I think in 95% of the time it makes no different for me.

Its more learn adapt and don’t forget the “double tap”, now I go and look for a Twinkie 😉

  • The amor plating definitely messes with my muscle memory but I don't see them outright removing this late in the game.

Angel can no longer supply plates iirc, so things have gotten slightly better overall
