What happened to Attack Helicopters and Jets on Breakthrough? Now we have the new tanks camping on the edge of the map and people camping on the rooftops on Breakthrough, and there is nothing we can do because there are no more Air vehicles on Breakthrough!
Yep, it sure was especially in Breakthrough. Nothing like trying to defend a point and having some "skilled" pilot hovering over it out of range of any counter just raining bombs down over and over.
I wouldn't care if the added the other aircraft back into BT but leave that damn Stealth parked in the garage!
But now we can hit the damn thing with railguns
Stealth helo players abused the crap out of their toy and ruined it for all attack helo players. No one to blame other than the helo mains. The way the stealth helos were used were a MAJOR issue in breakthrough and that is what got the helos removed
@Psubond But the new options introduced a fix with more counters (rifle railgun + tank railgun + jet slots + AA tank slots) and then also removed helis and jets as a second fix....
In a culinary analogy it is like fixing the fact that a salad does not have enough salt by adding the salt and then throwing away the entire salad because it was not salty enough before adding the missing salt !!!!!
This is overkill and even if I rarely use helis anymore, it feels like the game is less Battlefield than before...
I do not want to play 2042 junky conquest maps for the full experience...
Meanwhile breakthrough is not available on the portal server builder as an option...

stealth helos are like adding rotten tomatos to the salad. no matter what you do to fix it the only way to get rid of the problem is to toss the whole salad and start over, not pick out the rotten tomatos and serve it ayway.

probably because if they just took away the stealth then they would be admitting they messed up with the mechanics (stealth AND flares AND weapons in stealth mode)
Finally…DICE is changing. Thanx for replying to us guys. Lately we see the difference in many things. But we need more options to get back from the old BF designs. Those made the difference. Those made BF the best game ever out there.
With the Season 3 Update we've made a major change related to vehicles through the introduction of new Vehicle Categories:
With the reworked allocation of Vehicles, you'll notice different availability between maps and modes.
In Breakthrough this means that we've made the decision to remove Jets and Attack Heli's from play for this mode. Air Transport remains available, but due to the linear layout of Breakthrough we feel a focus on ground warfare offers the best gameplay experience. In our observation we also noticed that Air Attack was overly dominant in this mode, while having little room little room to navigate due to the smaller and linear layout of Breakthrough.
Conquest will still have all vehicle types available for play if you're keen to jump into Jets, or Attack Heli's.
Lastly, we understand this is a change to gameplay and will require getting used to. We'll carefully continue monitoring how this plays out, and we're open to your feedback about how you feel the new Vehicle Categorization is playing out now that Season 3 is available for play.

Great quality of life upgrade for infantry. The stealth helo was horribly broken and was a major problem raining bombs in stealth mode.
Ty for the changes, i can actually play against infantry, ground vehicles and air transports effectively without having an invincible death machine flying around raining bombs and hiding in stealth mode
but u can pick Rao, and keep the choppers away, if u can play as u want, as medic curing yourself or as sniper far far way, why people who loves vehicles should play as infantery players want?
it is not fair with the number of options to defend yourself
