Battlefield 2042 shouldn’t have a battle pass

Everyone knows that battlepasses are a new “craze” in games recently. Not every game should have one though. I feel as if you need to grind to hard and too fast in battlepasses, burning out and losing interest quickly. I feel like you don’t have enough time to get any gear forcing you to rush and play just for cosmetics and not for fun. I don’t like the feel of taking a break, only to come back to a finished season and missing out on everything before and not understanding anything new due to being absent. The constant pushing of new material is not better, having to make so much new content very often makes the game look completely different from when you started, completely unnoticeable and goofy, ae: being call of duty and apex, etc. I don’t constantly have $10 on me at all times to pay for something new every couple days, why can’t I just save and spend $25 or so for a dlc and unlock things the traditional way, through challenges or just basic xp levels? I love 2042 and I don’t want it to spiral out into a catastrophic mess!

  • I concur with this. timed battle passes are unfair to casual gamers, who don't have the time or do not want to play the game consistently. Have this issue with World of warships just don't want to play everyday

  • @pirate6065 With all this launch mess I think they could give at least this first pass for free for those who stayed in the game, and whoever bought the Gold/Ultimate get an extra pass

@cornybbq2 A lot of truth in what you say but by the same token, the 'community' also wanted larger maps and more players.

As usual, many of the things being whinged about, were at some point, requested for by the 'community' so what do they do, they can't win.

@Trokey66 I agree, community wanted bigger maps, bigger game, because when you like something, you always want more. Even if bigger doesn't mean better, It's EA/Dice fault if they gave us * features. If they want to follow the community desires, they have to do it right, or not at all if they are not ready, or if the technology doesn't allow them to do so yet. Players wanted bigger scale, not just bigger empty maps.
