Battlefield Future : 128 Players Breakthrough/Rush/Operation
Battlefield 2042 introduce x2 the player count. With 128 players, rush and breakthough is a mess.Total chaos.(Excluding the poor map design)
But as the game need to evolve, I do think we need more players.
However, with more players, the chaos and battle line is a mess. I recently played 128 players rush and it's just constant chaos.
Grenade spam is bad but it's just dumb fun tbh. (But with specialist, it's more stupid since it's the worse introduction to Battlefield)
Maybe for the next Battlefield, limit to 100 players first or 96 (48 vs 48).
And we need Operation for the next Battlefield.
So, in general, to make more players than 64 works, the map design and the overall gameplay need to be rework.
First, the map does need to be bigger to accommodate more battle line and flanking opportunity.
Next, instead of Normally the attacker need to attack 2 objective, let's increase the objective to 4 or 5 (with quite some distance separation) and attacker need to attack either 2 of the objective to move forward. This introduce split of force to defend and attack multiple objective instead of current where player focusing on 1 objective when the other 1 fell.
And based on the objective they attack, it can give different reinforcement. Example, successfully taking A will give 1 extra armor, B will give 1 extra jets and more.
And what about instead of normal flow for operations, we split the attacking lines. Similar to Y Splitter, Attacker will attack from 2 different lines (not connected) but they only need to successfully capture either one. Successfully capturing both will give them more reinforcement.
And on the 2 final sector, their force will combine to attack the defender (but still with 4 objective, and need to capture 2).
This ways, the battle will not be too concentrated and allows more player per battle and more ways to attack the objective.
