I was skeptical, but through the recommendation of a friend I tried one of those human chair services and I have to say, cost aside, there's nothing more comfortable out there and that includes the Herman Millers and Steelcase chairs.
I met "Steve" on Craigslist and after going over the some of the rules (such as not being able to throw him like I would a regular chair if I got upset) we went to my room where Steve proceeded to assume his bridge like chair stance. He was really great about not making things seem awkward. Although I didn't notice it at first, this guy was built like an ox and I felt very secure once I sat down. Steve also let me know that should I like the service there were also upgrades I could request next time like faux fur coat or leather jacket. If he could wear it, I could sit on it, he said. I was so impressed that I've used the service ever since whenever I feel like treating myself.
The guy's a total pro too. One time I called to cancel as I had some bad Taco Bell but Steve wasn't hearing it. "I worked in underground sanitation for 14 years. Ain't nothing you got that can compare to that," he said. Sure enough, not a peep from him although there were a virtually endless supply of "simulated and protracted duck quacks" from me. One time he could hear me getting frustrated while playing BF4 and asked what was wrong and I told him that I was doing well against this never ending onslaught of tanks, but I keep running out of AT ammo. "There you go" Steve stated calmly. No sooner had the words left his mouth, than supply crate landed gently next to me. Confused, I looked down to see he had logged into my game as a Commander from his laptop and was already providing scans, UAVS, and orders for my team, all the while doing so without even the feintest disturbance to his posture.
