The problem is Dice limited gamepad ingame to 1, i have a classic gamepad, X56 + throttle and pedal, only 1 is reconize in game. Since BF3 players with some similar material ask Dice to fix this. 6 Battlefield and 1 battlefront later, no update... Really disappionted too. therefore Dxinput can suport all plug in "Controller". Why limited materials by 1? the only solution is use Vjoy if you know use it to combine in 1 virtual driver all your device, or if you have thrustmaster material (T6000, wharthog) TARGET can combine in one virtual device your materials. I will add, battlefield after battlefield, keybinding is worst, if you don't play with default settings, customs keybinding is nightmare. Certain keybinding is default when you use vehicle and can't be change, exemple i use arrow binding (yes i am old player) and when i turn right or left with hovercraft, and buggy, my camera turn too. BF3 and BF4 have a tier software to keybinding with most option hide in menu. +10 years after and we have no complete option to custom keybinding...
