BF 2042 takes 5th ranked game for PS5

DECEMBER 20, 2021 is a date.

And one that has yet to be passed…

No, this game is trash @k1u73.  I've been a diehard BF player since 1942, it's expansions, the Desert Combat mod that was the prequel to BF2, the *(yet better) 2142, yeah, I said that *... a better game overall.  Vietnam, BF3, BC/BC2 and ultimately 4 before EA got their dickbeaters on this gem.  Once they took over and reskinned Star Wars Battlefront and renamed it BF1, it's started to slowly decline.  A few updates here and there started making it a LITTLE better, but a long stretch on that.  Then came along BF5, which would have been badass had they not kept the Battlefront reskin on it.  Same thing, a few updates made it a tiny bit better, but still not as good as everything BF4 and before when EA wasn't * it up.  But now we have this *.... it's horrible.  I'm giving it a year before I give up on BF.  A lot of people talk about it being bad because of CoD devs being in charge.  I agree 100%, there is A LOT of CoD in this game where there should be none.  They're competition for a reason... their fanbase is different, the way the games play are different.  Everything other than the fact they they cover FPS and a lot of the same fighting timelines(minus futuristic stuff, which usually is trash all the way around) they're completely different and for good reason.  It's easy to convert a CoD player to BF, but near impossible to do the opposite, but when you make a reskinned CoD, you bring all of that fanbase to a game that should have never had them coming over in droves, then leaving because it's a half assed attempt at a game.  This should have never left the Alpha and CoD ANYTHING should not have had a hand in it... actually, EA should donate the game back to DICE, appologize for * up one of the greatest, if not the greatest FPS's ever to be made.  I'd love to hear EA feedback on this and why they even let this out of the idea shed.

Having a blast with it.
Now never done the BF thing either so was not expecting any redo’s
I think the issue is with the top fps games offering a different product that’s attractive to a younger audience.
Sadly BF has seen its better days. Don’t get me wrong the same thing happened to me with TFC.
I also feel that realization has not materialized with the veteran players. If BF 2042 fails that will bring closure to BF. They can support it or not.
For my self will play it till I can’t find a game then off to the next game.
Take the red pill or the blue pill the choice is yours…
