Over the last few days I’ve seen news that this game will become a Free to Play, is this true ? I hope not after spending a lot of money on this game. Hopefully they can fix the problems the game h...

EA: Releases game that is 50% done, with lots of bugs and many missing features.
Also EA: Surprised it doesn't sell.
You can't make this sh*t up. But it's real. 😂
The difference between BF2042 and Titanic is that BF2042 does not have an orchestra.
Seems like I made a good decision not to buy the game.

Have not tried it. Since 2002, I have basically only played BF and Red Orchestra as well as the first 4 cod cames. BF has always been a fairly safe purchase, but no more it seems.

That is actually an absolutely great and also horrifying comparison that you bring up there @Daeyon-be ! 👍
Just brought up one of the many good 'post mortem' articles written about what was Anthem.
And the many similarities to BF2042 situation are appalling:
Just a snippet of the full article:
---
"Anthem‘s demise comes not from one fatal blow as much as it bled to death from a thousand small, inconsequential cuts. It failed because it took so much from its live-service peers that it neglected to craft an identity all of its own. In its desperation to be all things for all players its become nothing for no-one, failing to stand out in any meaningful way in an already grossly over-saturated market.
Ultimately, though, it was all style and no substance. The striking environments and solid combat just weren’t enough to compensate for its shallow gameplay and lack of mission depth and diversity."

You notice any similarities to BF2042...
You have the full review here, on how EA pulled the plug on Anthem:

Most of the labeled as "toxic and redundant" player base left the sinking boat. Those who paid 60 bucks or more feel like hostages of their own decision based on marketing material.
Final statement - EA is disappointed.
Who could have predicted "disappointment" at this point?
So we went from "ahead of schedule" > "love letter" > "(lack of) legacy features" > "brutal expectations (in short span of time)"> to EA is dissaponted.
That was fast I admit.
