Bipod just a cosmetic?

After several updates, the bipod still doesn't seem to do anything. I've never ONCE been able to get it to deploy - even on the flattest of surface (and let's face it - there's no shortage of flat surfaces in 2042 maps)

Anyone else?

    Okay - I got it working! No sure if this is working now due to an update or if I just missed it before, but here's the magic combo for deploying bipod on PS4:

    To deploy bipod on PS4, hit the down button on the D-pad while prone, but BEFORE you zoom in to look through scope.

    If you are on PC you have to press X to activate it, it's not auto-deploy like in previous games. It's stupid i know, but no-one seems no notice this

    I'm on PS4. I've read you need to press down on the D pad... (can't see that it works)

    @Van_Wailen You have to press "X" to deploy it... however even when it is deployed I have yet to get it to function. I lay down on a flat surface and the deploy the Bi-pod and it doesn't function or keep the gun steady for me. Makes no difference.

    "X"? On PS4? I'll give it a try, but I swear I've mashed every button trying to get it working. Lol
