The Bots are going to add so much to the game. We will be able to configure them for multiplayer games, coop games and solo games. That gives a lot flexibility.I could see using the AI soldiers to easily seed a server and then program it so the AI soldiers are retired when enough real players arrive.And I could see playing against them solo as a fun and more laid back learning experience.I could see playing coop against AI soldiers with friends for a strategic/tactical learning experience. You could have the bots set in a certain scenario and each time you fail, you can refine your tactics until you finally overcome them.Please have an open mind. AI Bots are going to add a lot of capability to the game.

Wrong, they are used in niche games with low player bases. Not battlefield where people want to play against other humans.Battlefield used to have bots available but they were turned OFF by default because nobody wants to play with them.Server admins tried experimenting with turning them on in Battlefield before and it failed because people would just leave when they saw the bots.It's what helped kill Red Orchestra 2. The over reliance on bots to populate servers. People got tired of all the server hopping trying to find humans.

@Crackhead88matchmaking will always try to fill servers and server browsers aren't going to show a server as full just because there are AI players filling the empty slots.Everything is going to run the exact same as in previous titles, however when there are unused player slots, they will be filled with an AI until they can be filled with an actual player.As I said, 99% of your MP experience in 2042 will be with real players.

You won't be missed. I remember AI in some of the early SW Battlefront games helped to make the multiplayer feel like you were really in battle. They also separated AI Kills vs Player Kills. Easy solution.

99% of your MP experience will not be with AI players at all.

I see very few reasons why having a partially empty server would be better than filling those slots with AIs until they can be filled with actual players

Im sorry that you are upset about AI Soldiers but they will be used to fill Server or if you would like to practice Solo or with you Friends. 🙂

Many Servers will be populated by Real Players So there is no need to worry about it that much.

Have you even looked at how they'll work? OR are you angry about something you haven't researched?

I'm okay with the AI, as long as they don't whine, make up rules and try to get the game nurf.

It is unfortunate that they have decided to put bots into multiplayer games. I would much prefer a pure multiplayer experience and allow bots in a separate mode such as solo and coop play.
I am not fond of the idea that you can gain progression from bots.

Being a bit cynical here but if AI bots are used in MP as filler, it would be an easy way for DICE to aid the losing team by turning up the AI on that side.
