The point of the drone is to supplement Recon in a pretty straightforward way. He spots everything and when using the drone in matches you can quite literally see teammates adjust fire in real time based on what you are pointing out with it.
You arent getting the kills and takedowns sure, but youre directly influencing matches with intel. In that respect he is balanced.
I agree with your observation but that's not the point of my post.
indeed spotting has always been very powerful on battlefield games (nobody is discussing that) i also acknowledge that you are fairly new to the game (20 hours aprox. shows the battle-tracker) but once you really start to play Casper you get into his limitations very quickly.
he is not friendly with a fast capture-the-point game-style and that sucks because the Dron has a lot of potential. most of the time if i try to use Casper alongside my friends they always end up waiting for me or just asking why i´m still most of the time, i think a good version of Casper it would be one that could be as versatile as possible
i also acknowledge that his appearance would suggest that he is a "sneaking" character, but intentionally doing that would be negative to the contribution on the match (aka camping on a 40 minute game and getting 8 kills)
He also has an proximity radar that is extremely helpful on a fast-phase game-style, having that alongside the capacity to pick up assault rifles or even smg´s makes Casper a very solid pick.
the drone is the only part (and pretty much the identity of Casper) that is not matching the rest of his kit´s phase and i honestly think it wouldn't be anything but positive for everyone if he gets some love
Casper is a good character, and i would love for him to be more than the character that campers use.
