This class system limits you. What if your on a squad and your team doesn’t run ammo boxes, now your stuck running around looking for ammo to replenish your rockets. Or what if your angel or Casper you have no way of defending yourself against heavy armor or light armor. I am a fan of battlefield. Been playing since bad company, but when 2042 came out it changed everything. At first you can either run with your squad or go solo. But now it’s forcing you to be a team player. Which is not kool, everyone has different ways of playing. Some like working as a team, others like to go on there own path. And you have completely destroyed that with the class system.

@Hellhound88 You're complaining about team work in a team work game. Maybe Battlefield isn't for you

@Hellhound88 god forbid that you need a team in a teambased shooter....call me shocketh.....if your team lacks a certain element, be it ammo, healing, spotting or AT you have all the tools at oyur disposale to help said team by filling that hole. i know its a very difficult concept to grasp but teamplay starts with you.

It does suck for Engineers, who are already a terrible class as it is. The lack of resupply options makes them even worse. At a minimum, there should be resupply points at your spawn (in BT and Rush) and at key objectives in Conquest.

@DPsx7That is subjective.Here is my own subjective opinionWhile I was never perfectly happy with classes in the past due to the weapon restrictions, I am finally happy with the way they re introduced the classes in 2042.Battlefield like you said is a franchise and franchises have defining characteristics that got to be respected, less they lose the appeal of the franchise brand.The original 2042 has a legion of franchise violations already. When you go to a Kentucky Fried chicken, you expect breaded fried chicken and not breaded and fried crickets.If the game is not running optimally with classes right now is partly due to needed more rebalancing to make all classes good enough, it also needs players to adjust to it after learning to play in another way

@Adamonic100% this, BF2042 definitely needs resupply points, in my experience I rarely see ammo boxes these days and never see Angel's crate.

@Whitefish21 If the overwhelming majority are randos joining randos, it makes any of that management useless. There's no communication between squads so you're only responsible for how YOU play. It makes sense to let solo's be solo and leave some room for premade groups to play together.

Classes weren't going to fix anything.

being able to leave a squad and pick the one you join is important. i'm sick of being stuck in squads with mouth breathers and not being able to get away from them

No one is stopping anyone from playing solo. BF4 still has solo try-hards who get pissed if you want to squad with them.
BUT, with BF4 I can bounce around a few squads before I find one that works. And that's whether I'm playing on my platoon servers or a rando sever where I don't know anyone. I can always find a squad with a team oriented mindset. You can't do that in 2042.

i mean solo as in not in a squad. i don't want mouthbreathers spawning on me and giving away my flank or my position if i'm running soflam. i want them to have to walk their lazy butt to me if they want to be where i'm at not spawn on me and immediately go prone and start shooting

@Prof3ss0r_M1k3 That's me too. I hate when trolls act like there's only one way to play this game. A solo player is no different than a sniper wandering off alone (nobody bats an eye to that). They can do a lot of damage and will attract less attention while moving on an objective.

What's even worse is basically no one plays engineers anymore. 3 rocket breakdown: 1st rocket is flared; 2nd rocket 75% chance to hit, and 3rd aircraft has fled to break LOS, now the engineer is useless and can't do anything to get more ammo alone. the aircraft is healed, has flairs and the self heal is back up again too. Your entire life was for nothing and nothing changed. It's probably the most incredible lack of planning I've ever seen on a game fr.
