Sooo, for those people who tell those on Console to turn cross-platform off, here's some evidence for you all. Playing on Xbox Series XThe game on Consoles is DEAD, the only community being supported is the PC and that seems a stretch.Sorry to say EA/Dice, but from being a long time lover of the Battlefield series, 2042 (Not a true BF game) is the biggest disappointment in this series and the biggest fail in FPS history in the past 10 years easily. @BigShottt That is interesting, it seems like we both have issues, those screen shots were from the base game not portal.Buts it is interesting that portal maybe console heavy but base game is PC heavy.

@BigShottt Either way the game is pretty much dead, I only ever see spikes above the 8K on steam charts around when there's updates, but even then, for a game as big as BF title, that's incredibly low numbers.But Modern Warfare 2 could be the final nail in the coffin not just for 2042, but also many other low player FPS games that could of been better from launch to now. Halo, 2042, COD Vanguard and a few others.

@BigShottt Actually the "crossplay off" issues apply to all platforms.Either you are in the big regional "crossplay on" matchmaking pool, or you are in one of the tiny regional platform specific matchmaking pools.The reason why the platform specific pools are so small is, that the BF2042 client always enables crossplay permanently, when you join a crossplay party.eg. you have crossplay disabled and join a friends party that has crossplay enabled, your client changes your setting from disabled to enabled. And this setting stays enabled, even after you left the party, until you disable crossplay again.But this change isn't obvious, so many player just stay on crossplay on.

@OskooI_007 I agree, but the console community also wanted Mouse and Keyboard support for cross play with PC players, we partially had it in beta (Keyboard only), then full release it was gone.

@OskooI_007 I agree, but the console community also wanted Mouse and Keyboard support for cross play with PC players, we partially had it in beta (Keyboard only), then full release it was gone.

@Cemtexx Interesting, here on PC you can't even find any Portal servers (there are typically only 3 available at a time) UNLESS we keep Crossplay enabled. Once we enable Crossplay and bring the consoles onboard then all of a sudden a buch of Portal servers all appear.

I know, I would have thought it might be the other way around ya know? Since BF is originally a PC only title and Portal has the OLD maps where everyone used to play on PC, I wold have thought that Portal would have more PC servers.

@CemtexxI'm mainly a PvE'er so those low numbers don't affect me, except where longevity of dev support is concerned, of course.
But yea, I played the MW2 beta and I will likely be playing that title as well. I did enjoy the gameplay, generally speaking. I think it might turn out to be one of the better releases since BLOP's 2, IMHO.

@BigShottt I still play MW 2019, such a great game, but from what I heard MW 2022 be the last cod to be released yearly, so it could have so much more support than usual.

But the beta was good representation of what we may get and ground war felt more like a Battlefield game than 2042 ever will.

DICE brain run on rocks: so forget your hope.
They don't have the spirit to carry on anymore. Just a quick cash grab like many games are nowadays.

If you want some advice don't buy anymore titles from them.
