Constructive criticism from an old Fan

The devs claimed that "they are all hands on deck" with 2042. Then why is this game still mediocre. I mean the potential overall is definitely there but this game has been a sheer wasted opportunity. The game has been in a playable state since season 1 imo. With the amount of content we've received over the last year, this screams skeleton crew.

For each season we ONLY get ONE MAP (reworks don't count), only 2-4 NEW weapons (vault weapons don't count as new), A VEHICLE, & A gadget/throwable.

This game needs:

MAPS, MAPS, AND MORE MAPS! No one is happy playing the same map 1 map over and over for 12-14 weeks. It would've been different if the game had launched with 10-14 good maps, but it didn't, it had 7 terrible maps which are taking almost 2 years to rework with some crates and sandbags.

Factions are very much needed. How many players get immerged or feel drawn to a game when they are fighting their clones. Even some forced soldier camos for each team would fix this. This is the first game to not have team factions.

More map detail. The maps are large and empty. They need more structures and urban developments. Also need map assets (which are currently non existent) by this I mean resupply points at the deployments and maybe center flags (how hard could it be to implement this) unless your lucky enough to find an ammo box you have redeploy for more Anti tank and AA ammo.

We also need map assets such as Stationary AA, Tow/Kornet launchers, and stationary machine guns at deployment to defend it and some flags (currently these exist on Caspian border and Noshar canals but not on 2042 maps). These help the maps feel less empty and give reason to hold certain areas because of the assets.

Squad system needs a complete rework. There's no squad management, no reason to put orders on objectives (still no xp for followed orders). We need squad rewards such as a small airstrike we can call in (similar to mortar strike from the bad company 2 portal). And of course we still can't switch squads or have private squads.

DESTRUCTION!!! This was an absolute game selling feature in all past battlefield games. It was the reason I first tried bad company (and brought me to the series). I know that this is one of the reasons for the empty, spacious map designs like all current 2042 maps. Because an urban map would be destructible like Valparaiso. I'm sure these type of maps take more work so the devs avoid them.

I know this is like beating a dead horse and I'm wasting my time, but it pains me to see this once great franchise let so many players down. I know there is only a skeleton crew working on this game due to the miniscule amount of content we get every season and with these once a month Lil nothing updates that have nothing bit some stale vault weapons and bug fixes. Then a really cool trailer is made every season for the same boring mid season cosmetics event that's just a new game mode and some earnable skins.

Word from the wise people would be willing to put more money into this game if it had enough to keep them playing or if it was overall good enough to play. If the next title looks like this is say that may be the end for this once great franchise.
