I'm sure you though by not having global chat it would eliminate the toxicity and make people have a better game but I can tell you we just talk smack to our own teammates just the same and it's just as toxic as ever so you might as well put it back so the it can be directed at the opponent for the same of teamplay. Stop tearing us apart. LOL
BF2042 is not the only game with no all chat.
Wargaming removed it from WoT a while ago even Riot is testing it and removed it from LoL ranked gaming.
And yes, this has something to do with toxicity 😉

EA/DICE clearly do.
The problem is you can never stop the toxicity on the internet, it's a byproduct of being anonymous, it just is.
What you can do though, is give people freedom of choice, give the all chat and give people the option to mute.
I have never seen how silencing the few can benefit the whole.
