- Anobix2 years agoSeasoned Ace@Lady_One Seems alright. I submitted for beta access on steam. Definitely has a feel of COD:MW + BF having a baby. Not a fan of the specialists, as with BF, but at least it isn't pretending to be BF.
Wonder if it will be regular F2P with just cosmetics or P2W. - MADMAC50K2 years agoSeasoned Ace
The gameplay vids I've seen so far make it look pretty polished and looks like a decent BF alternative so I'll deffo be giving it a try

I was excited-but now on the fence.
After watching a live stream of the game last night its one of these pay to win games...
Games free but you need $ to upgrade weapons and progress etc
It was mentioned a previous game these devs put out was rampant with cheaters but i guess thats the norm now so we shouldn't be surprised.
- Hudson15312 years agoSeasoned Ace@JOGAGATYA Yes and also a BT mode but operates differently to BF.
- Lady_One2 years agoNew Ace@Anobix Personally I'm mainly worried about P2W, like the others I guess. If it's a reasonable one-time payment I'd be ok with it, but that's almost never the case...
I guess the video I posted was a repost? Oops.
Well, Levelcap also made a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TUgoqXDYTw mostly pointing out how extremely similar to Battlefield it is and using Jackfrags' gameplay. Mentions that there's not as much destruction since I know people are probably looking out for this, and that the weapon customization menu has a section that shows you the recoil pattern, damage dropoff and all those goodies.
Personally, I don't mind the copying if the game is decent and especially since EA's Battlefield hasn't been super decent. Same with Palworld. - ElliotLH2 years agoHero+

I'm not gonna bother with that game. It's gonna be all over again, nerfs and buffs. 2042 is not in best state, but sure Dice has tweaked a lot stuff to "pleasure" every one. Whenever this community moves to DF, it's gonna be all over again.
Already saw friend with gunner on AC going 130+ kills.

It's something new a different of course I'm going to play it and with all the options it includes it should be fun.

I will play it for sure.

Same with Palworld.Yeah, I won't touch the game if there is one iota of pay to win mechanics. (where overpowered weapons/attachments/higher dps is only available via paying something). I can understand selling experience boosters, etc, those have been around forever. They are a little slippery in that regard, but unless the game is literally designed for that to be 'regular' speed and f2p is like 5x slower then it shouldn't be an issue, if that makes sense.
