Personally I have a much bigger problem with the specialist's faces and voicelines before and after every match. The game forces me to listen to those over and over.
They are meant to be funny, but they aren't. Neither are they original or in any way connected to the background story: Climate & economy crisis, chaos, war. The soundtrack of BF 2042 is distressing and gives me chills; Trailers had a very dark and serious tone. I might actually write a separate post about this topic, because it makes me sad.
I can only imagine the writing process:
So they just lost their homes and basically everything and out of desparation they decide to join a group of mercenaries called No-Pats to fight in a global war. What would they say? Oh, i got it:
- That's it? I'm ready for round two!
- Yeaaaah Angel does it again!
- Don't be sad. That's just how it works out sometimes.
- Easy in, easy out!
- ...
I like the quotes, they are optimistic and reflect the fun, I mean they are gloating, it's supposed to be a bit silly.
If you wanted a realistic approach, they would show the highest scorers sitting around trying to rest looking exhausted, worried, sad about lives lost etc.
But no one wants that, you actually want the gloating but with attitude.
Lol k.
- 4 years ago@GinsuMoose I want nothing, who cares who had the most revives and destroyed vehicles.
I hate to wait before the next round can start.
For me it just looks like, the winner pose of APEX after winning a round and to be able to present your Santa skin or what ever skin you have.
It is really sad they make this. Don't buy such things, and they will change it. buy it, and more will come. Money rules... - 4 years ago

It IS silly. Actually stupid. Out of character for the franchise, but probably does fit Fortnight and APEX Legends. The game has become a cartoon.
Has anyone found out exactly who took the Battlefield franchise in this direction?
